When you meet someone new, what do you think the first thing it is that you notice about them?
You may say, their eyes. Because eyes are the windows to the soul, right? Wrong.
The truth is eyebrows are the windows so the soul.
When you meet someone it’s the eyebrows that tell you what you need to know about them. The expression of them. The thickness of them. The curve of them.
(As you can see from the picture of the popular celebrity pictured above, not having eyebrows is devastating to your face!)
I never realized this myself until a friend of mine stopped me in my tracks and said, “What are you doing with your eyebrows?!”
Doing my eyebrows, no joke, changed my life. Doing my eyebrows beautified my face. It’s with your eyebrows you get to direct attention to your eyes.
If your eyebrows aren’t “on fleek” then no one will notice the beautiful color or your eyes, the beautiful expression of your eyes, the length of your eyelashes…They’ll look at you instead as if you’re a blank canvas with no expression.
There’s different eyebrow advice for different face shapes and for different eyebrow types.
I happen to have lighter eyebrows. Some people have darker eyebrows.
My most basic advice is: do your eyebrows. My second piece of advice is: lean in, lean into what you look like, and let it come through in your eyebrows – don’t fight your face! If you have dark eyebrows, don’t bleach them. If you have a unibrow, don’t pluck it – rock it.
There’s nothing more sexy to the opposite sex besides confidence. Except for maybe perfect eyebrows.
